C-band info

I know very little about C-Band, if I was going to get into this what is the
minimum size dish I could use in eastern US?
by looking at the lyngsat info, can I determine the size of dish I require
for a specific feed?

I use a 10 ft, but some people have use 8ft. In DE

I have an old solid aluminum dish which seems to do what I want very well.
It also gives me the C Band channels for FTA. I do not, however, use 4DTV.
I live near Ottawa in Canada.

You're really missing something,then!I upgraded a few years ago and I'm so
glad I did!The video and sound quality are phenomenal,even analog looks
better!Then there's the onscreen guide.

What does it cost per month? Where can I buy it from in Canada?

The free stuff is nice,but there's no guarantee it'll be there next
week,it'sunscheduled programming and the best stuff is on 4dtv.

The digital pak with Murphy's runs you $280 Can....just over $20/month,or I
spuppose one could pay for a year of the digital discovery pak and have
access to the IPG and free channels,but one miss all those other discovery
channels,music,food,diy,fine living and a host of other stuff!Not to mention
the potential of 84 movie channels!Free CD music feeds too,Over 100 of them
counting DMX and Music choice andn other radio stations!

Add ku band(that's my next project!) and the sky's the limit!

For some things, a four foot dish will work. Since 10 foot dishes are
free it is best to go with that.

Look for a Starchoice 921 for a taste of the free stuff. Should be
able to find one cheap.

If you go with an 8' dish, then you will really need a 17 deg. LNB. A larger
dish can relax a little as the dish can make up for the gain that the LNB
doesn't have.
