Can i always using ac mode on gaming?

I had a massive fps drop on gaming with battery power, can i always using ac power? I was using nvidia GTX 940 MX and a non-removable battery. The problem is nvidia seems to limit the performance during the battery mode. Anyway 940MX is not supported by battery boost so i cant set up manually setting on geforce performance there is no option for that. Thank you, sorry for my bad english.

Most (if not all) laptops limit power to the GPU when in battery only mode, and will only run at full power when plugged in using ac power.

I think so, i tried everything to remove the limit or nvidia automatic scaling performance i guess. And the only way to resolve that is to using the ac power. Is that ok if i always use the ac power when gaming and in my home, sir? I noticed when its reach 100% the battery notification on tray icon state 100% not charging.

It is ok to use ac while gaming as this is what I do for my desktop replacement.

Yes, it is fine to use ac power all the time. What brand is your laptop, if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks that was a relief, i was using asus sir a556u to be exact.
