Solved! Can I connect a microphone and a web cam to a Thunderbolt adapter and use it without latency issues?

Just like the title says. I'm planning on buying a USB microphone (low budget etc.) and also a web cam. My laptop (Razer Blade 15) is basically out of ports to use as my mouse and keyboard take's up 2/3 of the ports, so I was looking to get a USB hub. But I read that USB hub's can cause latency issues (I plan on recording and streaming, hence my worry with latency).) I then remembered that this laptop has Thunderbolt ports; which I have not used till now. From what I remember, Thunderbolt ports are very fast. So I was wondering if I can plug in said devices to a Thunderbolt to USB adapter and then connect that to my laptop and record/stream without latency issues?

Thunderbolt ports are fast, when used with thunderbolt devices. Once you stick a USB adapter/hub on that you are using USB speeds.
