Can I connect my Yamaha rx-Yamaha 660 to a 2006 Panasonic plasma viera tv

I have a 65 inch Panasonic Viera plasma tv . I bought 2006 so it does not have the HDCP2.2. Now I have the Panasonic Bluray that has the HDMI HDCP2.2 and the receiver that has HDMI HDCP2.2. Will it show any picture on my tv. The reason why I wan to connect it is to have 7.2 surround sound.

Yes it will show a picture on your TV.
It will not be 4k since your TV doesn't support that.
You do want the Bluray connected to the directly to the receiver not the TV. You would not get lossless audio such as Dolby TrueHD if you ran the bluray to the directly to the TV.
