Can I install a full HD and/or touch screen display on my HP Pavillion Sleekbook 15?

In general it's a very sexy laptop, but I'm kind of spoiled by smartphones so I'm used to high PPI and touchscreen (also because it comes with win8)

If you mean replacing the LCD panel on your laptop then no I do not think that would be possible. The connections from the LCD panel to the laptops motherboard are really in any kind of standard that would let you just swap it for a better one.

i mean like only the inside thing, like you know when you lcd goes wrong and they replace it - i meant something like that if they could replace it then why not upgrade if of the same size?

My guess is that Touchscreen laptops would use a new connection to the rest of the computer so replacing the screen on a non-touchscreen laptop would be impossible.

I've seen NOTHING to indicate you can install a higher resolution screen but that doesn't mean it's impossible in theory, just that I saw no indication of available parts.

The company makes other models of the same size with HD, and obviously HP wont bother R&Ding to separate technologies for the conncetion to the screen right? So theoretically a replacement screen for an identical model but with HD will fit seamlessly, right?
