Can i play sims4 on an hp 15-cd054na

My husband was sold an hp 15-cd054na by a salesperson who assured him that it could support sims4. We have 14 days to return it if it can't do the job. Can anyone help compare the game spec with the laptop spec. I've tried, but i don't understand what i'm looking at when i try and compare.

Can you return it even if it's used? Why not just install the game and see how it runs? From the CPU and the video card, it should run SIMS 4.

It'll take a few days for the game to arrive after we order it, but yes, i guess we could do that. Will it be obvious if it's working correctly? Or might it appear to be ok, then run into problems later? Sorry, this whole gaming thing is new to me.

Why not order it from Origin online? Buy it, download it, done. No need to wait for the disks. If it does not work like you want on the system you have the game to run on any computer, just sign in to your Origin account and install it again.

You will tell how the game runs soon as you install it, and you can play around with the video settings if it's too choppy.

It should definitely surpass the minimum requirements. The sims shouldn't take much. However it probably isn't going to reach the recommended requirements to get the best graphics. It's an older laptop and I assume didnt cost much. https/support.hp.com/us-en/document/c05888447
Edit: I don't think it's really old. Just not the newest. Likely it was a lower cost laptop. But for sims you don't need anything crazy

Thank you both. I feel happier knowing it should be ok. We have a very small data allowance (due to how our internet is received as we are very rural), so i don't think i can download it here. I will search out an unlimited source of data and download there. Thank you again for your time.

Yea data caps are bad, keep in mind that if you go to a public place to download the game, it can take a long time, over an hour. Places like WalMart should also carry the game at the store, as well as some other normal retail stores so you can check there instead of waiting for delivery.

All units can play Sims. The question is just "How good" do you want it to run on it. ?

You need a AMD Athlon or a Intel Core 2 Duo to run it on a windows.
Most laptops and other units have lots of more power.

So no problem to run this.
