Can I use a tube amp as a dac.

Hello I'm kind tight on cash at the moment and I was wondering if it's possible to use a fully rectified tube amp as a dac thank you.

Turns out that the receiver I have is just a really good solid state and I am basing this on the quality of the sound it is a marantz 2245 so I probably need to worry about the speakers that i'll get next mostly for gaming some music and movie.

do you know what would happen to be the best dac for the cash at the moment say round 100 dollars I will be using this with a sound card.

Your sound card is a DAC, may not be the best, but based on your budget it maybe the best you can do for now. Merely connect it to your tube amp, or any other amp and away you go.
