Hello,
Can my Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blu-Ray player downconvert 1080p disc to match my 1080i TV?

Solution

Sorry Wolfshadw, I am not trying to be some sort of spelling/grammar police but your reply did not read well and was confusing a little so I edited with bold.

@Bochamp - I have a 720P/1080i Pioneer plasma that downscales 1080P bluray to 720p/1080i and looks great. Your tv should do the same, no problem
It's more whether your HDTV can accept a 1080p signal. If it can, you HDTV will downscale the signal to 1080i.

Thanks Wolfshadw
My TV is a 2006 model Panasonic TH-42PX50U Plasma with a Compatibility of 480p,720p and 1080i.
So my thinking is that my Blu-Ray movies will be in 720p.
I'm going to get a 46 to 50 inch 1080p set maybe this year but for now i guess i want be seeing what the Blu-Ray player is capable of doing.
