I want to take advantage of black friday and build a computer. My budget is $300 but if you guys can recommend a build that would be superior to a $300 build, then i would increase my budget to $400 max.

When: On black Friday

Most important to least important: Movies, MS Office, Visual Studios, internet, music, counter-strike 1.6 and starcraft:broodwar

Parts NOT needed: Windows 7, LCD monitor (1440x900), mouse

Location: USA

Prefer retailer: Anywhere that has low cost

I gave it a shot. Came out at $370 & change for a low end system. Intel Celeron duel core, Biostar micro atx lga775 mobo, 4GB DDR2 800, 1GB GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi/DX11) ,generic case with a 420 watt PS, 500GB Seagate HDD & a Samsung DVD burner.

Can't claim to be the best at building systems, but I gave it a go. All available through Newegg. Did I leave anything out?

Under $300 & you seemingly need everything including a case? I don't know if it's possible. Maybe under $400 for a low quality build. I guess it doesn't much matter at this point as black friday has passed. However if you don't mind my asking, how did you make out?
