Why would you want to? There are already faster solutions to add
networking to Series 1 machines.

What type of USB device would you want supported?

Technically yes, but you'd pretty much be on your own because most S1
hackers use an ethernet adaptor instead.

In some cases the speed is 40x faster than TiVo2Go, doesn't mangle the
resolution, doesn't watermark the files, doesn't require WMP10, doesn't
require a key to play, works with any OS, etc. It does require you to be
comfortable with hacking your TiVo though.

If you really want a USB port, just sell your box on eBay and buy a
Series 2.

No, but if what you are planning to do is network a series 1 via
ethernet then there are solutions available, try a Google search for

Series 1 Tivo Network

Why bother. Just use PPP over serial. Everything works great, and it
only takes 20 hours to get 40 minutes of video. :)
