Can you recommend a hook for this ceiling mounted projector screen?

If anyone can tell me what kind of bolt/hook/whatever I need to attach this to my ceiling, I would appreciate it. I assume some sort of hook. But if there's a specific kind that works better or something, it would really help me out to know, heading to Home Depot soon. The screen is 30 pounds so it would have to be pretty sturdy.

any "S" hook will do. basically you use a length of chain that is attached to the supporting "thing" (ie. ceiling, truss, 2X4, etc). You then use the "S" hook to couple the screen attachment "mechanism" to the chain. There are other screen attachment fixtures but since you failed to mention any specific about the screen, it isn't possible to identify any options for you. Beware that use a "non-rigid" method of attachment might result in sway.

Agreed. I just use these eye screws into a ceiling truss:

And then an S-Hook through the loops:

What about something like this? It sort of combines the two items into one right? Are there any drawbacks to something like this?

Not really, other than the open end there. If it gets bumped or something like that, it could fall out. I did crimp close the open side of the "S" to prevent anything like that.
