Hey guys,

I was wondering if maybe some of you can help me with a problem which I have with a notebook of mine. The notebook's model is a MSI GX60 with the amd A10-4600m processor.

Recently a friend of mine borrowed the machine and he installed windows 7 on it, ruining the recovery partition. When I got the notebook back I reinstalled it with an windows 8 OEM dvd together with all the drivers. Shortly after I noticed that I am not able to lower the screenbrightness (its always at 100%) even though the software notifies me of changes in the panel.

I tried with the official AMD drivers and the graphical drivers from MSI self. The MSI system manager says the brightness is at its lowest but there is no change in the actual brightness.

Could someone please share their thoughts on this issue?

Thank you for your time.

Yes I have installed the system control manager and other related utilities from MSI, however the problem persists.
