Cannot open a program on my pc

Hello,
I cannot open a work software program on my desk top and supporrt is not calling me back, the program will flash like it's going to opn then nothing goes right back to my icons on desk top PLEASE HELP!!!

More information would be helpful. The software name would be great, as well as what has changed since it last worked.
