Canon A480 << good camera ??

I have heard that Canon A480 powershot is good digicam and is better then cybershots. What say! Should i go for this one?? It costs around 179$.

$179? You can get them on Newegg for $104.95

The Canon A480 Powershots are better than the Sony W180 Cybershots but not better than the W220 and up series of Cybershots.

The Sony W230 Cybershot sells for $159.99 on Newegg and is the better camera but I personally cannot stand their proprietary memory medium so I avoid Sony cameras but if you don't mind them it is the better camera.


But if you really like Canon, you can check out the Canon PowerShot SX120 at $199.99. This steps it up over the Sony W230 Cybershot.

Ah, OK. That puts it much closer. $179 NZD = $125 USD.

That means the Sony W230 Cybershot I noted before is about $226 NZD and the Canon Powershot SX120 would be $283 NZD. That's pushing your price up pretty high if you were hoping to stay near the $179 NZD area.

yup agreed, BTW i think Cybershot is nothing much than a big brand now, Canon are making much more better cameras then sony ...what say!
