Canon Flash Piece

I have a Canon Rebel T2i and I'd like to know if I buy a separate flash piece and attach it will it stay on during movie shooting? Or do I need something else for that?

If you are looking for something to illuminate your video then you would need a video light and not a flash. As in a Speedlite? The Speedlite 320EX will operate as a flash and as a video light. As for a dedicated video light, it depends on what you are shooting, how wide your lenses are, light brightness, and size.
