Hello,
I have an old minolta with lens. To save money I would like to use the old lens but they are about twenty years old. Have they improved them a lot to where I should purchase new lens as well? they tell me sony works with minolta but perhaps there are better cameras out there for the money?

What is the best camera for personal use? I want a dslr but can't afford a lot (reason for thinking of using old lens) but want some type of quality. I use it mainly for taking pictues of the children and once in a while places we go.
