can't change inputs

vizio 3851 sound bar just keeps searching for bluetooth input, and cannot change inputs with buttons on top of bar

Did you try unplugging the soundbar from AC for 10 minutes?
If that didn't work does the remote switch the input?
You could try a factory reset
To perform a Factory Reset, Press and Hold the Bluetooth( ) and Volume Down (—) buttons for 5 seconds. Note: This will erase all settings and preferences that you have set. Enable/disable the use of a VIZIO TV remote control to power on and adjust the volume of the sound bar.
