I know 6th gen is going to be Optimized for a lot more games but I'm really pushing my budget ufor it. This is also a laptop so an upgrade most likely won't happen. As well as a few other perks on the laptop with a 4th gen cpu. I really don't want to spend the extra money on it but if it's a major difference I can. So is it a major difference?
Go for skylake for better future compatibility. Better battery life and a much better GPU to boot. On desktop it's not as big of a difference, but in the laptop space the 6th gen is a very worthwhile upgrade
Skylake is around 10% better then Haswell. So the difference is that noticeable. Though Skylake CPus use less power so thats a bonus on laptops. Also if its using a skylake cpu then it probably has a better gpu aswell.
