Solved! Cant format Micro SD card

So. 64gb sandisk class 10 sd card cant write to it and cant delete files vut i can copy themTried formatting with the SD brand. The computer management aplication on windows. I tried the default formating tool and it says unable to format. Says write protected even though i have no write protected files. Its not the carrier that is locked i made sure it was wprking with other sdcards (multiple).Scanned for a virus and no dice....

Its driving me up the walls.

If you are using MicroSD-to-SD adapter to plug it into your PC, make sure the slider for write-protection is not ON.
Try with another microSD-to-USB adapter
Try it in your phone

Or get another one. These things are made cheap and disposable.

I really try to avoid formatting SD cards because so many of them come with nonstandard offsets so formatting them to a standard one results in misaligned cells so it never performs the same again.

If you must format a SD card it's safest to use the SD Association's own utility.

Tried all that. Its not a big deal but meh. I can get another one. I tried wiping the whole partition and no go. Ill probably just replace it. Just kinda dumb that i can still see what is there i just cant format it.

Probably your drive is crashed already. Did you try to replace it?
