Can't Get Audio to Go to Soundbar From RCA TV

I can't get the sound to go from my RCA LED55G55R120Q to a Pyle PSBV200BT. The tv only has a digital out, the soundbar has RCA inputs. I am using a digital cable out to a convertor, then to the RCA inputs. The tv is set to PCM digital audio output and the suuround sound is off (I have tried other settings). RCA's tech support told me they don't know what to put the tv settings on for a soundbar and that I need to look it up on the internet or pay someone to fix it. Worst service ever. Can anyone here help?

Do you see a red light at the end of the optical cable. If so then it is fine.
If you have a voltmeter check the power supply of the converter. It or the power supply could be bad. The DAC will only output stereo so the setting in the soundbar will not affect if it works at all.
I like this one as it works with 5.1 too.

Thanks! That solved the problem. The power supply was bad.
