Can't get my Sony blue ray player to work on my Sony Bravia tv

Can't get my Sony bdp-s5500 to work on my Sony Bravia tv it says Unsupported signal. Check device output. Help

Try inserting the cable in a different input or use a different cable. Or try connecting a different audio video device with the same cable like a set-top box etc to check where the problem lies.
