My BEC 6600 has started acting up. What is happening is that no matter
what I do I can't get out of the menu/setup and return to channel
selection. I have unplugged and plugged the unit many times but every
time it is turned on it returns to the same stuck position. Any way
out of this or a new receiver is in order?

You could try flashing it with the latest firmware.

Make sure you don't have anything sitting on top of your remote
that is pressing the menu button.

Just a thought.

Also make sure that the remote button isn't getting
stuck. If you need the latest firmware and flashing
software, let me know, I have a copy, along with a
datafile I created that has the latest boquets on
T-5 and the next two or three adjacent sats. I could
post it here, if the "powers that be" don't feel it
would be off-topic, since this isn't a binary group.

Good luck, -Web

Isn't any powers to be here, but it will probably get stripped for all
but a few. You can use news://alt.satellite.tv.binaries
