Solved! Cant install win xp in my laptop

hai..i am not able to install win xp in my pressario cq60 laptop...so i enquired about that..and i found the problem is of sata hdd which is installed in my laptop...so by using neolite i slipstreamed it but still...after running all the files my laptop shutdowns immediately by showing a virus screen...what should i do to solve it??? can i install win xp...PLEASE HELP GUYS

What do you mean by virus screen? Is it a blue screen?

its a driver error asking for a floppy drive to install sata drivers from, i had it on my DV8000. do you have an external floppy drive?

haha probably not likely.

otherwise there is always the voiding of the microsoft support, warrantee and whatnot by slipstreaming it in.

i however just installed it as a different driver type and it worked fine, you should be able to install sata drivers later.

The other thing you can do is go into the BIOS, and set the SATA mode from AHCI to IDE.
