can't power down model 3060

Suddenly, I am unable to turn the unit off. The green light stays on
and the HD runs constantly. No video available from machine. Tried
unplugging power supply overnight with same results.

Any suggestions?

Perhaps a circuit inside is allowing the unit to power up and stay on, but
is fried enough to not allow it to function correctly.

Perhaps the hard drive is shot, and needs replacing.

Perhaps there a soft-boot solution that may help.
