Can't run sound from my panasonic tx-42as600e on HDMI

I have a laptop connected with HDMI to my TV and I can't run sound from it. The sound only comes from my laptop. I tried the same cable on my other samsung TV and the sound runs just perfectly both from the TV and from the laptop. I don't know what the problem is. Can anyone help? The laptop I am trying to play videos and hear on my tv is a asus model x555l. The sound isn't played back from the TV it is only from the laptop and I can't do anything. I can't select playback for TV and I updated the software. The cable is good it works just fine on another TV I tried.

Try another HDMI port on the TV maybe and reboot the laptop inbetween.

Tried this already and I updated and reinstalled all the drivers. I don't know what the problem is maybe something with the TV or Laptop
