Can't type in Chrome browser?

Like said in the title, I can't type in chrome browser. I recently ran ADWCleaner, and it logged me out of chrome. I can't log in because I cannot type in chrome. I have found somewhat of a workaround, though. If I open chrome, go to the drop down menu and select new window I can type in the said new window, but since the log in page is on a small pop up, of which does not have an address bar, I cannot copy and paste into the workaround window. Any suggestions? I've tried reinstalling to no avail.

I don't really want to give up on chroome. I really prefer it greatly over other browsers. Firefox is alright I guess, and IE is just unbearable.

I use 64 bit chrome. I've tried waterfox but it just wasn't interesting to me. I love the google integration of chrome.

I just solved it by changing / setting / show advance setting / system / then uncheck "continue running background apps ..." then restart chrome.
