Can't view the movie

I recorded some movie clips on my camera and burnt it onto DVD r but now it plays but I can't view the movie I can only hear them

Do you know what format selected when burning it to dvd? Also assuming you are using composite cables (jacks) make sure that they are all plugged in and correctly placed, If you are using hdmi or a similar input the ignore this last part.

Thank you for your reply , I can't remember, I must have just selected what was already on screen.
Just to clarify, I can't view it on my laptop from the DVD, I had already deleted the cloud from my camera as it was transferee a while ago
I'm worried I've lost my memories

http/www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html
and try to view it from that program.
