cat walked across keyboard now horizontal lines and flickering how do i fix

A friends cat walked across the keyboard and now is wreaking havoc on the display . cant seem to do anything with it . please help

usually the vet does an operation called a spay or neuter (depending on the gender of said cat). there's also taxidermy.

is this a laptop of desktop? could be static (damned furballs), or if a laptop the soon-to-be-dead cat hit one of the monitor output buttons.
