Cd's won't play on my laptop

Hello,
On my old floor standing computer I saved photos on cd's. They won't play now on my new laptop. Why?

Are they on CD-RW disks? If so you may need to install a UDF software to read the file format on the disks.

Also have you checked the disks on other computers to make sure they are still good?
