On my MSI laptop, the number keys one to five above the keyboard and all arrow keys aren't working at all when pressed. Strangely, they work perfectly fine when I hold shift and press them (!@# etc). I have tried uninstalling/updating drivers and booting in safe mode (still did not work). I'm running the latest version of windows. Please help

Solution
Try an external keyboard and see if you get the same problems or not. If you do not, then the problem is likely the keyboard and it may need replacing. If, however, it happens on the external keyboard as well, then you are likely looking at a motherboard problem.
