Challenge: What software is better?

Please explain your opinion below of what software is better. My brother bought me Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium for my birthday but I hear WordPress is good also (And it's free). I'm just a beginner and am retired but would love to build an awesome Website. Any help at all sure would be appreciated.

WordPress is not web design software. It is a blogging system that runs on a server - totally unsuited for your purpose.

I though it was Web design Any other suggestions for Web Software?

I have used Dreamweaver, which is included in the CS6 suite you have, and found it relatively easy to use. You have design view, code view and live all of which can be helpful when designing a page. I'm not saying it's the easiest or best but it is the only one I have experience using.

I'd say Visual Studio is great, and what's best is that it's free.
