My 5040 has worked flawlessly for 2 years, but it has now dropped several
channels from the schedule. They are still there when I turn the Replay off
(and just watch through the TV), as well as on other TV's in the house. I
get a "no video signal detected" when I manually tune to that channel
through the Replay. Any suggestions?

What has happened? Are some channels no longer listed in the schedule,
or is the Replay no longer able to tune them? These are very different
problems.

The first of those is a problem with the schedule that Replay
provides.

As to the second problem (getting "no video signal detected"), is this
with the internal tuner? There used to be a lot of reports of that
problem with older Replays, although I thought it had been corrected.
Anyway, try a different Replay input. Use A/V connections (3 RCA
jacks) if possible. Otherwise, you can try a VCR as a tuner.

The channels have disappeared from both the schedule and internal tuner - I
will try another input - thanks!

Those are normally completely seperate problems. You could have both,
but should still work on one at a time. I think you should work on the
schedule first.

Some things to try.

*Are you sure you're selecting the correct schedule in the setup menu?
There may be several varieties for that TV provider. For my cable, I
get FOUR choices:

1. Cox
2. Cox (rebuild)
3. Cox Digital
4. Cox Digital (rebuild)

Each one is different. Note that if your cable lineup changed
recently, you may have change this. BTW, I use #2 here.

*Force a connection. Press 2-4-3-Zones and select "net connect". What
happens? Is the schedule changed?

*Does another Replay get the correct schedule? Does DVArchive? I could
help with this if I had the correct setup information (ZIP code and
source).

If you can get the correct guide, then see if those problem channels
work.

Also, you missed my question about which input to the Replay you're
using.
