Solved! Charging Port Melt

I have a question. My laptop charger melted inside the charging port. I have bought a brand new charger but I am scared it will melt because of the original melting of the previous charger. My Question is, Is it fine to plug in the new charger into the computer?

I wouldn't. Not without having the device tested to make sure that nothing else was damaged/fried.
