Cheap camera for recording video games?

I have googled this and everyone says to use a capture card but thing thing is i want to record gameplay and have live/raw commentary. This guy on youtube has a really good camera but it costs $350 and i can not spend anything near that amount. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or recommendations about cameras.

The for Canon Powershot A2300, Does it Autofocus? If i'm playing a game and sudden things happen on screen i really don't want it to remain blurry, but the camera will be stationary upon a tri pod. I'm watching this video and the camera does not seem to auto focus when zooming in, also i have no idea how the audio quality is on that. I don't want my voice sounding to drastically different.

Also could it be charging and in use at the same time? So it will be stationary i could just have it plugged into a power source.

Don't ever put the any camera on auto focus when capturing it for stationary subject. set it on manual then focus it to desired settings. If you put it auto focus, any changes in front of the camera set the auto focus on.

If you set the camera in autofocus mode, when any moving subjects pass between the screen and camera, then the camera will try to focus the moving subjects instead of your screen so that it cause the blur video.

Also when you shop the camera you need make sure the camera has the microphone, because some of them is no microphoto.

Ohh ok, do you have any suggestions or recommendations for a cheap camera? I don't mind going up to $150 and it can be refurb or used.
