i will be playing games occasionally. will use in college for 3 years.

first option has better processor but not good video card.
second option has better video card, but not good processor.

which do you think i should take, and which is worth sacrificing, video card or processor?

games i will play, dota 2, san andreas, gta 5, counter strike.

so first of all both cpu are i5 which is good not a problem, now gpu the NVIDA has better performance go with option B

Graphics card are more chosen over processors in gaming, a simple dual core pentium could get your work done, but not any graphics card can game at todays pc requirements
