I'm thinking of buying a gaming laptop, but stuck at a few options. (Please don't tell me to make a desktop PC of my own. I actually was going to do that, but I will be frequently travelling in places, so even I was disappointed.)
Budget is 1,70,000 INR.
Alienware 15: 1,68,000 INR

I'm considering Alienware because of their latest upgrade, which provides gtx 980m with 4GB of VRam.
Will alienware will be worth it with these specifications and price?
I'm thinking Asus ROG series laptops are good too, but not sure which one I should choose from so many models. Also, I've heard that Asus ROG laptops have too many issues and complaints on ROG forums, which kinda worries me.
Your help would be appreciated!

Alienware is normally overpriced, but I cannot find any other laptops on sites that match the Alienware's specs. I would say go for it. :)

If you are planning to get an Asus ROG, get one that shares the same specs. :)

When Alienware made their name, the company was a Clevo distributor. No they are a Dell subsidiary and quality has gone in the toilet. If ya want waht AlienWare used to be, then I would recommend finding a Clevo distributor in your are and buying a laptop custom built to your needs.

You save quite a bit of money cutting out the middle-man as just about every laptop vendor you can name doesn't actually **make** a laptop

Quanta sells to (among others) HP, Lenovo, Apple, Acer, Toshiba, Dell, Sony, Fujitsu and NEC
Compal sells to (among others) Acer, Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo and HP/Compaq
Wistron (former manufacturing & design division of Acer) sells to Dell, Acer, Lenovo and HP
Inventec sells to Toshiba, HP, Dell and Lenovo
Pegatron sells to Asus, Toshiba, Apple, Dell and Acer
Foxconn sells to Asus, Dell, HP and Apple
Flextronics (former Arima Computer Corporation notebook division) sells to HP
Clevo makes chassis and distributes parts to Sager, FalconNorthwest, Voodoo, WidowPC and other boutique brands.

I'd really like to buy the clevo products, but the main problem is, they're not available in India. Also, if I buy it from other country and import in mine, I'll have some service and warranty issues.
I really appreciate your opinion, but I guess I'm at the wrong place to be buying them. :/
