chrome is veeeeeeeeeeery slow and does not play movies

Chrome is Veeeeery slow sinds a couple of weeks and does not play any kind of movie. Okay, sometimes, when I use YouTube, I can play one, but that's odd than.

I've updated Chrome whenever needed (it does not update by itself) and as far I understand the settings are good. I even removed Chrome and re-installed it again, but that does not solve the problem.

Flash player is installed and renewed but the problem persists. I use Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 1803 and all updates are installed.

Any body knows how to fix it?

Run malwarebytes and see if any results turn up about infections/stowaways.

I did, without success. Now I'm running Kaspersky to check all my drives. It is checking now far beyond my "C" drive. Therefore I do not expect any solution anymore. Somebody else?
