chrome keeps crashing when I close a tab

Recently, after the new chrome update, sometimes when I close a tab, chrome stops responding. No matter how long I wait, it wont start responding again, and I have to close it and re-open it.
Any solutions?

Hi,

Please do check if there's plugins that might be causing this problem or clear the history and cookies as there might be bunch of them already. Please refer to this link from Google on how to do this.
