Chrome user icon has yellow warning sign, cannot be repaired

For about a month now, Google Chrome's user icon (in the top right corner) has had a yellow warning sign next to it. Now, I know that this is signaling that it's having trouble connecting, so I log back in. This fixes it temporarily, but it makes gmail desync. Once I log in via gmail, the warning thing is back again. I first thought it was because I'm logged in to Chrome twice on the same PC, (dual-booting) but after I de-authorized all other PCs the problem was still there. How can I fix this?

Never mind. I fixed it by removing my profile after clearing out everything, and then started from scratch. Google. Friggin' Google.
