Question Chromecast 5.1

Hi. I'd really appreciate some advise, please. I'm running a Samsung Series 4 television, Yamaha 2200 sounbar with a new Chromecast plugged directly into the sound bar. Picture and sound from Netflix are fine.....but.....whilst Netflix states the programs is broadcasted in 5.1 the sounbar doesn't appear to be receiving in 5.1. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Ian.

Check the audio settings in the Chromecast stick and the Netflix app. If you have the basic subscription that doesn't do HD so maybe it doesn't do 5.1 either?

What is your Netflix subscription type? Basic, Standard or Premium?

I'm also trying to do a setup like that but with the projector and soundbar.
How are you getting a visual when having plugged the Chromecast into the soundbar and not the TV?
