Your Philips "umm... I have no idea" photo is of a CD-i 350, a rare
portable version of the CD-i game system. If you forgot the CD-i, it
was on the market around the same time as the Jaguar and 3DO. A later
model, the CD-i 370, can be seen here:

The main difference between the two is that the 350 required an add-on
to be able to play MPEG-1 video. (This was required for some games and
to play Video CD's.)
