Clogged tablet power switch

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 tablet. I got some good (Chinese sauce) inside the power button. Now the button is inoperative. Everything else works.

How to fix? I can keep charged but i'm afraid of I forget and run the battery down I won't be able to turn on again.

You would have to take it apart on your own, or take it to a tech, to have it cleaned out and possibly repaired. There is no other way around it.

OP here. I lucked out. Last night I flushed the area around the switch with a spray electronic contact cleaner and then used a vacuum to suck out any remaining gunk. The switch still would not operate.

Then this morning, whatever was inside must have dried enough and now the switch operates as normal. So I may have dodged a bullet, at least for a while.

Hopefully this will be the last of it.

Oh yeah you so did. It is a lesson in what to not have by a laptop. LOL
