Hi!

I've tried running Virtual Colecovision emulator and while it runs, I have a
constant tone running in the background. Sometimes it will stop when a game
is played but when sitting at the menu and loading the ROM, it is
unbearable.

Suggestions? Is there another good Windows XP based one?

Take a look at the Colecovision FAQ at
http://www.classicgaming.com/colecofaq/#6.0

It mentions MESS and this might be one of the better emulators. MEKA is
another good one. ADAMEm is brilliant but does not run on my XP laptop :(

Take a look at a links page at :

I've not tried it so I cannot say, however, I might offer a guess that
it was an attempt to mimic the pink noise hum that many TV's experienced
for real when the CV's menu screen came up.

OK, maybe not.
