I'm a kid in high school looking for a laptop for college(gaming-able), and i need help finding one with the right specs and price. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Here is a list of specs i'm looking for:

Intel Core i7-8559U
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (**Max-Q**) / 6GB
15.6 Inch display
256GB SSD + 1TB HDD
8GB RAM
BATTERY: ≥7 hours
1920x1080
Ports(?): Ethernet, HDMI, Headphone/Mic, USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3, 4 USB ports, SD memory reader
≥250 nit brightness(?)
Hopefully under $1100
No flashy design(many gaming laptops i've seen have over-the-top designs)
Backlight can be turned off/on
Minimal/no thermal issues
Minimal/no loud fan issues
Good display

The more information, the better! I'm not really an expert at this stuff, and would love to learn about it...

The Dell G7 will last about 5 hours of multitasking, similar to the HP Omen...which I think is pretty decent for a gaming laptop.
The Acer Predator Helios 300 has around an hour longer, but it was too flashy for your taste.

You could extend the battery life by creating a power saving profile and turn on this profile while doing very light tasks (word processing, reading, etc) and you could almost double the battery life.

Even though a gaming laptop could be quiet when performing minimal tasks (e.g.word processing), it is expected to ramp up fan speed to cool the CPU and GPU when needed, otherwise there will be thermal issues.

Don't expect long battery life on gaming laptops, you might need to dial back power setting to minimum to get around 5 hours.

Is the Acer Predator Helios 300 too flashy for your taste?

a little bit. i'm looking at that last, but even so, many reviews i've seen mention heat problems, so i've been shying away from that one. also, the price it has with the storage i want is a bit much...

side note: is there a website or something where i can just give them a parts list, and they make me a laptop? just curious.

...i dont know how to do the quotes...

The most powerful the CPU and GPU are the hotter the laptop will get.
A laptop, unlike a desktop does not have that much are available for cooling.
You might need to compromise at that price point.
Maybe the HP Omen is also flashy.
If you want a plain looking one, then take a look at Dell G7 Gaming Laptop

does it have sufficient battery life?

Here’s what you do when your student. You get a decent thin laptop that will be your workhorse for school. Then you also take your Xbox one and your PS4 with you

i'd prefer to just have one device
