compaq laptop presario 2500 wont charge no lights

no idea why it suddenly has no power at all. I used another power adaptor cord. same thing. I also used a fully charged battery. Nothing. no power to the laptop at all!
Any solution? it has my Quicken billing info on it. I really need this info.

Hi, you can always put your HDD in a desktop to retrieve your informations.
