Hi all,

I am looking for a gaming laptop and, after doing some selection, I ended up to choose between these two models:

1) ASUS FX503VM 15.6” FHD Powerful Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core 2.8GHz (Turbo up to 3.8GHz), 3GB GTX 1060, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 16GB DDR4, Windows 10. PRICE: 1099$

2) ASUS FX503VD 15.6” FHD Powerful Gaming Laptop, Intel Core i7-7700HQ Quad-Core 2.8GHz (Turbo up to 3.8GHz) Processor, 4GB GTX 1050, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD, 8GB DDR4, Windows 10 Home. PRICE: 799$

The main differences between the two models are the graphic card and the ram. I am looking for a laptop where at least for the next two years I will be able to run any game I wish, at least with average quality settings.

My question is: which one you suggest? Are the 300$ extra of the better model really worth it?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Solution
The 16 GB of RAM would add about $100 over the 8 GB model. The 1060 video card is quite a bit faster than the 1050 so if you want medium settings in more demanding games, you need that one.
