Comparison of 2 LG HDTVs

Hi, I'm about to buy an HDTV and two local stores are selling similar models of LG TVs for the same price.
I haven't exactly narrowed it down to these two -- other options are on the table. I'm looking for a screen around the 43-47" mark that can support 3D (for playback of movies most likely). But for the moment, here is what we're looking at:

CHF 900.- for:
a) LG 47LM649
b) LG 47LM640
Both these screens are 47", both are supposed to support 3D. I don't have more info on (b), but I assumed it might be a lower end model given the number. Model (a) is packaged with 5 pairs of glasses as well.

Ok, for some reason the 47LM640 is only available on the USA LG website.

The only detail that seems to stand out is the refresh rate: 120Hz for the 640 and 400Hz for the 649. I heard that for certain 3D visualisation you need to have a refresh rate of at least 200Hz. Is this true?
