Compatibility when replacing a laptop screen

Is replacing a laptop's (ASUS G752VY) display panel with a different display panel that wasn't made for the laptop's model specifically possible, provided the panels have the same resolution, size, backlight type, mountings (top and bottom brackets) and video signal connector? Is there anything else that needs to be checked? Are any of these negligible? This is really important and I would really appreciate any kind of help. Thanks in advance.

It's possible but unless you find someone that has confirmed it's working, or the seller states that it will work, it's a greater chance it won't work than it will.
