Compatible DVD Burner (internal) for Thinkpad T40p

I read te article on upgrading laptops. I am trying to find a compatible DVD Burner to replace the internal CDRW/DVD drive in my t40p. I have tried every possible internet search to find out what might work but with the volume of info on the internet it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Any advice on where to find comaptible drives?

Any type of "slim" drive should work in your laptop.

I tried searching for slim drives. The problem with the IBM is that the drive height cannot exceed 9.5mm. Most of the drives I have been able to find are 12+mm.

Just checked Lenovo's website and came up with this:
Replacement drive

It says it's compatible with your laptop. The only problem is, it's not a burner. If you need a burner you may be out of luck.
