Computer not working correctly with Gamecom Plantronics 380's

A pair of Gamecom Plantronic 380's got delivered around 3 hours ago. And upon plugging them in I have found that they were not working correctly. I had a static noise and when attempting to watch a video all I got was a very muted version of the music of the game that was being played. I then tried the headphones in my brothers computer and they worked absolutely fine. So I am clueless to the problem. Whether it is my software or just something else.

My motherboard is an ASUS M5A97 Evo R.2.0, So I use Realtek HD Audio Manager
